Buckhurst Hill's first game is a win at home 10vs6 Croydon

2pm Face off at rainy Roding Lane. All support welcome. Considerable away support for this game, always welcome at the home of Essex lacrosse.

Plan was to celebrate a good performance at a german bierkeller afterwards. Let's keep it going boys.

2nd East1 league game at the Spencer Club Earlsfield 2pm Saturday.
post-game comment "..Spencer were the better team, no doubting that. But our players, .. need to practice. Too many dropped passes cost us.."
Training sessions set up Tuesday evenings at Roding Valley High School.

East1- slow start, good defensive effort 2nd half, and an encouraging finish to the game. Need to retain possession, need a win Bucks.

East1 - Still having a problem retaining possession in midfield/attack. The season is not lost yet, but we need to find a win.

Flag/Plate round 2 game - Hillcroft home fixture switched to Roding Lane for 2pm face
Great game to officiate, very even score until Hillcroft time-out with less than 10 minutes remaining. Game-changer led to a 4 goal lead maintained to final whistle.

East1 - this has become our favourite away fixture. Another slow start (4-0 after 1st qtr), D stepped up, wings competed better at face-off, mid/attack ground out more possession and BH were unlucky not to win in the darkening final moments. Turning point?

Local paper published an edited report of this one;

East1 2 hour journey for an 11am face. Consider that.
Great effort to persuade 15 players to show up and play solid lacrosse against an improving opposition. Four of our leading attack personnel missing yesterday, but we practised effective ball retention and dropped/missed at least 10 open chances in front of their goal. Great attitude and application shown, sets us up well for practise this coming Tuesday at Roding Valley High School and the East 1 fixture next week. (Sat 6th Dec, 2pm face, vLondon Uni, Roding Lane).

6.45 meet to warm-up for 7pm-8pm Astroturf session booked at Roding Valley High School (adjacent to Loughton Central Line tube station).
Let's make the most of this practise for the LU game this coming weekend.

planned 1.30pm face at home this coming Saturday (Roding Lane, Buckhurst Hill).
1v1 at 1st qtr, 1v6 with 4 minutes game-time remaining . Very unlucky to lose this one lads, good late drive.
Thanks to David Mason for refereeing.

Away/return East1 fixture, last game before Christmas break at Croydon's Astroturf in Eltham.
Not our best performance.
